About Us

Rocky Creek Nurseries was founded in 1962 by Owen and Connie Howell. Jeff's older brother, Lee, served as President of the company from 1990 until his untimely passing in October of 2000. Today, it is owned and operated by Jeff Howell and his wife, Melinda.

Rocky Creek Nurseries is a wholesale-only nursery and provides premium quality nursery stock to independent garden centers, landscapers, re-wholesalers and to other wholesale nurseries throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states. The nursery encompasses 30 acres of container production ranging in size from 1 gallon to 7 gallon containers.

We do not sell directly to the consumer or to chain stores. If you are a gardener, homeowner or end-user and you are interested in purchasing our plants, we would be pleased to help you in locating a merchant in your area that carries our plants.

The legacy of Owen and Connie Howell continues today as Rocky Creek Nurseries remains committed to producing the best possible plants at the best possible price! We take great pride in developing and maintaining a trusting relationship with our customers by providing excellent products and service!
